Geneva 304 invites all parents to attend free informational sessions this fall. While each family's situation is unique, we aim to help parents understand the facts about consistent school attendance. Our presenter, Dr. Megan Schmitz, is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Geneva with more than 15 years of experience, specializing in anxiety disorders. She co-developed the Adolescent Anxiety Treatment Program at Linden Oaks Hospital and uses innovative therapies. Dr. Schmitz is dedicated to helping clients manage distress and improve their daily functioning. She will present three different sessions at Geneva High School. This 2025-2026 school year marks the 150th anniversary of Geneva Community High School! Please come celebrate the Sesquicentennial of GHS at what we hope will be the first of a few different celebrations throughout this school year.There will be “Backyard Games” in the field to the south of GHS, as well as Graham's Ice Cream and cake for the first 200 people. The Main Entrance will be open, allowing visitors to come inside, see our beautiful building, and view the new timeline that will be displayed on Viking Blvd.We hope you will join us from 2:00-4:00 on Sunday, September 21st. It’ll be a great kickoff to GHS Homecoming Week 2026. Please bring your family, friends, or neighbors.Thank you very much to members of the GHS Student Advisory Board, Michelle Vargas-Herbst, parent volunteers, the Geneva History Center and Graham's Ice Cream for their generosity and support.
